Volunteer

Wolverine is blessed to have an amazing network of volunteers who make the weeks of summer camp here possible. These individuals believe in the discipling work that takes place at a week of camp. Without the sacrifice that these individuals make, WCSC would not be able to provide the quality programming that our campers expect.

If you would like to volunteer at a week of camp, please read below to see the different positions that are available. We truly appreciate your willingness to serve the Kingdom!

Camp Faculty

Our Camp Faculty are the heart and soul of a week of camp. This volunteer position is responsible for the day to day well being of the campers as well running things such as games and activities, leading small groups, and helping campers develop a meaningful relationship with a God who loves them!

We ask that if you would like to be a member of Camp faculty, that you are able to commit to a full week of camp. This is beneficial both for the camper but also for the Dean who is planning the week.

If you have any questions about what this position might look like, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Nurse

Our goal is to offer quality affordable programming to the campers that join us out here. One of the ways that we do that is by having the camp nurse position rotate weekly and on a voluntary basis.

The minimum training required to fulfill this position is an EMT certification and your main responsibilities would be to make sure that campers are getting medications on time and fixing up bumps and bruises.

This is an excellent ministry opportunity for retired nurses or anyone with the proper training to highlight their God given passion!

Dean

If you have been camp faculty in the past and would like to play a more active role in the planning and preparation for a week of camp, the deans job might just be for you. The camp dean's responsibilities start in January of the year they are serving and don't end until the last day of their week of camp.

Our camp deans are the ones planning and preparing just exactly what will go on at their particular week of camp.  This includes recruiting faculty for the week, planning the programming, assigning roles and being the point of contact for everyone they brought on.

This position is not for the faint of heart. If you have been involved at WCSC or another camp in the past and want to step up your involvement, reach out and we can help you with those Kingdom goals!
